Residential Home for the Elderly

We regularly look towards residents for menu ideas and hold taster sessions to find new favourites. Our home made soups made daily are always a favourite and we also have weekly high teas and monthly take away nights that go down a treat.   

Meal times are not just about the food, our aim is to make dining a social gathering where residents can enjoy a chat, however if a resident prefers the privacy of their own room we will always respect their choice.

We have three excellent cooks who take great pride in the quality of food served at Newlands.  All of our meals are nutritionally balanced and freshly prepared daily to a high standard using fresh ingredients. The menu changes on a 4 weekly cycle and we are more than happy to cater for vegetarians or any other dietary requirements, simply speak to the manager and we will ensure everyone’s tastes and preferences are catered for.

As well as our regular meals we also provide Tea and Coffee with a selection of biscuits and homemade cake mid morning and mid afternoon, along with “Happy Hour” should the residents fancy a wee tipple.
