Newlands care home is a beautifully converted Victorian house that incorporates 22 single bedrooms, 4 of which have en-suite facilities.  Bedrooms 1 to 6 are located on the ground floor and bedrooms 7 to 22 are located on the first floor which may be accessed via our passenger lift.  Each and every room is unique with its own features and all are beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout.

All residents will have access to the following healthcare professionals should they need them:

• Opticians
• Dentists
• Physiotherapists
• Occupational Therapists
• Dieticians

Newlands Care Home has three quarters of an acre of beautifully landscaped gardens which can be used by the residents, their family and friends.  There is also a greenhouse and potting shed if anyone has green fingers and a lovely patio area with seating where you can enjoy a spot of sunshine.

Our in house hairdresser Pat visits weekly and enjoys spending time chatting with the residents and gets to know many of them well.

Furnishings in every room comprise of a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table and a chair. There is always room for personal belongings and we find that personalising your room with pictures, paintings and ornaments helps to make the room feel more homely.

Every room has a 24 hour nurse call system in place should you require assistance at any time from a member of staff and we also have pressure mats that can be placed down on the floor during the night to alert staff that you are awake, should you wish to use them.

The home also has a wet floor shower room, 2 Main bathing rooms with aid assisted baths and 4 single toilets.

We launder all residents clothes on site in our laundry and all clothes are ironed prior to being put away. Fresh towels are provided on a daily basis and our domestic team will also ensure your room is kept clean and tidy at all times.
